Joaquin Painting was founded in 1979 by Randy Butler in his garage as the “shop”. What began as a small painting company has grown into a trusted name in the industry. A few years later, we moved to a small warehouse in North Modesto. In 1998, Randy’s son Mark joined full time. As our business expanded, so did our commitment to serving the community.
We relocated to our facility on Carver in Modesto and at the beginning of 2026, we moved into our beautiful new building on Marchy Lane in Ceres. Today, we proudly offer professional painting and coating services to residential and commercial clients throughout Modesto, California, and the Central Valley.
Joaquin Painting has deep roots in the painting trade. Randy’s father was a Journeyman Painter for many years, and taught many of his children trade at a very early age. Randy worked as painter for several years and had the desire to open his own business and to provide for his growing family.
Randy’s garage was used as the “shop”. This was the “shop” through the end of the 1990’s, while the office was ran out of Randy’s home. Randy taught his son, Mark, the trade from an early age. Mark carries on the legacy of three generations of painters and strives to serve the community with the same level of professionalism and quality.
Building on a family heritage that spans almost 50 years, we will continue to be privately owned and operated by active family management. Our clients count on our dependability and integrity. We always strive to maintain the highest levels of professionalism, fairness, and honesty in our relationships with our suppliers, contractors, professional associates, and customers. We are committed to providing our customers with the highest level of quality services.
